Reflexology
.jpg) Whether you have a chronic or an acute health problem or you are simply looking for a way to reduce tension and promote well-being, reflexology may be the answer to your problem. It is entirely non-invasive and simple pressure is applied through the fingers to the minute reflex points in and around the feet and hands. Reflexology activates the body’s natural rebalancing system by stimulating nerves which send signals to the brain which in turn sends signals to the various organs. Amongst other symptoms reflexology can be used effectively to treat:
Headaches, painful backs, arthritis, tension and anxiety, insomnia, PMS/hormonal imbalances, digestive problems, poor circulation. I am particularly interested in helping new mums and their babies. To this end I have attended courses in natural fertility, maternity and baby reflexology
£38 for first treatment with full consultation (approx. 75 minutes) - £35 for treatments thereafter (60 minutes)
Baby Reflex

Aromatherapy Massage
.jpg) An individual prescription treatment, aromatherapy takes into consideration the needs of the whole person, physically, mentally and emotionally. It is ideally suited to promote health, well-being and to reduce the effects of stress, as well as complimenting conventional medical treatment.
Essential oils which occur widely in the plant kingdom are used, nothing is artificial. Blending the oils synergistically can create a whole palette of delightful fragrances to suit your needs, each with differing therapeutic effects. Massage (using acupressure techniques) is an effective way of administering these oils. I am a fully insured member of the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists
Full body massages (with consultation) £45 for 90 minutes, thereafter £40 for 60 minutes,
Neck, back and shoulders £30 (approx. 30 minutes)
Gentle hand or foot massage - (particularly enjoyed by elderly clients) £12 for 15 minutes
Holistic/Swedish Massage
.jpg) Massage is known to be one of the oldest remedial practices, which has developed over thousands of years in countries as diverse as ancient Greece and Rome, India, China, Japan and Sweden. Massage is defined as the systematic manual or mechanical manipulation of the body's soft tissues by using a variety of movements and techniques, whilst the term 'holistic' indicates a whole body approach. Holistic Massage forms the basis of many other types of massage and is highly effective in reducing muscular tension and stress in general, as well as inducing feelings of calm and relaxation.

Hot Stones Massage

The massage process is similar to a regular massage but heated basalt stones are used instead. The benefit is that heat relaxes the muscles allowing for greater manipulation, and clients feel they are getting a deeper massage. A Hot Stones massage is excellent for tight, sore muscles, poor circulation, stress and insomnia. It is also of great benefit to circulation, lymphatic function and metabolism regulations. Cold stones can also be used on specific areas where muscle injury might have occurred.

Based on a short consultation, holistic beauty treatments are tailored to individual requirements.
Reflexology and massage (particularly beneficical for conditions such as arthritis and poor circulation)are combined with manicure, pedicure and facial treatments. As a qualified aromatherapist, I am also able to give advice on the use of therapeutic essential oils and specific home-care recommendations.
